GARAGE DOORS FOR NEW JERSEY SINCE 1938

In 1938, our founder, John W. Shuster, Sr., set out to build a company rooted in craftsmanship and service. With his son, John “Jack” Shuster, Jr., by his side, he launched J.W. Shuster & Son, Inc. in Plainfield, New Jersey.

Family lore tells that John Sr. laid out a map of New Jersey, placed his finger in the center, and landed on Plainfield—perfectly positioned between New York City and Philadelphia to serve the booming building trade with overhead garage door installations.

Over the decades, the company grew beyond installations to provide the full range of garage doors, electric openers, and the latest technology available. The dedication to workmanship and customer service that John Sr. instilled has remained the cornerstone of the business.

Today, under the leadership of Jonathan Shuster, who is the third generation to carry on the family legacy, Shuster Doors proudly continues serving communities across New Jersey with the same values that started it all.
